Admire the spectacular glass roof of the Great Court, a work of art in its own right. Then, see the world-famous “Rosetta Stone,” the key to deciphering Egyptian hieroglyphics.

Admire the controversial Parthenon Sculptures, taken from the Parthenon in Athens by Lord Elgin, the former British ambassador to the Ottoman Empire.

Awesome! Our tour guide Joe, was very nice, and very knowledgeable. He gave a very interesting tour and added humor at just the right times. Also appreciated the headsets he provided to everyone so we could hear him clearly through the loudness of the museum. And also nice was that he brought a colorful scarf and held it like a flag for everyone to easily be able to follow him. Also nice the tour was about 9-15 people so not too overcrowded.

Our guide Joe was on time and easy to find. He is a very knowledgeable person who explained the main features of the exhibits in great detail. We enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone who wishes to get a good summary of what the BM has to offer.

Damniano was a fantastic tour guide and happily put a personal spin on what intrigued him. He was respectful of the museum’s rules, and ensured we knew more than the basic details of the highlight pieces — stories unique and otherwise untold if it weren’t for his insight. Would definitely recommend spending the hours touring this IMMENSE museum with him!
