See the sights of London on a free 6-hour walking tour of Westminster and the City. Admire iconic sights such as Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, and 10 Downing Street. Walk through leafy parks, see remnants of the old City Wall, and more.
What to Expect
Save money and pay only what you can afford on this free full-day walking tour of some of London’s most historic sights. Because you will cover a lot of ground, some of the journey will be on public transport (at your own cost), and there will be a break for lunch.
Starting from outside the luxury Ritz Hotel with its liveried doormen, head off to iconic sights, such as Buckingham Palace and St. James Palace. See the Changing of the Guards and follow a centuries old royal tradition. Admire government buildings such as the Houses of Parliament and No. 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the British Prime Minister.
Get a real feel for London as you take a bus or tube (subway) across to the City of London, not only the heart of London’s old financial institutions, but one of the oldest sections of the city. It’s here that you will catch sight of a section of the old City Wall, built by the Romans, pass the magnificent dome of St. Paul’s Cathedral, and end near to the medieval Tower of London, guarded by its iconic Yeoman Warders and at least 6 steely black ravens.
During the tour, you will also see riverside attractions, such as the Globe Theatre, Tate Modern, and London Eye, as well as some of London’s legendary shopping and entertainment neighborhoods, including Covent Garden and Leicester Square.
