Great event highly recommend…however, be aware the company we booked thru (not the museum) changed our time by two hours…check your tickets days in advance…they claim they email you changes but they did not….the museum was very understanding and it was a fantastic experience….

I imagined the ambience of the “restaurant” to be more dignified. More reminiscent of a tourist café. However, the dishes were appropriate and the scones were very tasty, but unfortunately the sandwiches were not entirely fresh. The staff was very friendly. Next time I would probably go to a venerable hotel for tea time.

Afternoon tea at the British Museum was a great experience. When you arrive, instead of going through the huge security line, go all the way to the right and let them know you are only there for Afternoon tea. As long as you have the ticket, they will let you in after checking through your bags. Once you get in you want to go up the huge stairs in the middle of the museum. Once you get seated all you have to do is show the waiter your ticket. We got tea for 5 adults. Everybody was given a sample of sandwiches, scones, and desserts. There was so much food we couldn’t finish it all. We looked around and no one was able to finish either. If you don’t like to waste food, bring some zip lock bags. Over all it was a fantastic experience and I would do this again.
