Continue to Leeds Castle near the city of Maidstone. Described by Lord Conway as “the loveliest castle in the world,” Leeds Castle is set in the middle of a natural lake and surrounded by 500 acres of beautiful parks and gardens. You will have exclusive access before the doors open to the public to experience the magical setting in tranquility. Wander the castle grounds to find Lady Baillie’s Garden, gaze over the lake, and get lost in the maze.
Next, head to Canterbury for a 2-course fish and chips lunch, a traditional staple of English cuisine, served with tea or coffee. Enjoy some free time to wander the festive medieval streets of Canterbury, and admire Canterbury Cathedral, the most important church of the Anglican faith worldwide.
