Full description

Spend a day exploring the quintessentially British countryside of the Cotswolds, an area known for its green landscapes, charming villages, and honey-colored stone cottages. Enjoy the highlights of the Cotswolds, as well as some of the quieter, less-seen areas of the countryside.

First, stop in the small town of Burford, one of England’s most unchanged medieval towns with many buildings over 500 years old. Visit the historic church, stroll along the attractive high street, and explore the town.

Next head to Bibury, known as the prettiest village in all of England. Wander along the river and see Arlington Row, a set of weaver's cottages that are now one of the symbols of the Cotswolds. Enjoy free time to explore the enchanting village.

Continue on to the picturesque town of Bourton-on-the-water. Take ample time to stroll by the river and its small bridges, admire the stone cottages and have some lunch.

Cap your tour with a visit to Stow-on-the-Wold, a jumble of inns and antique shops situated around the ancient market square. Stow has been a center of trade in the Cotswolds for centuries and was the location of the last battle of the English Civil War in 1646. It's also the location of ‘England’s oldest pub’.

Afterward, the tour returns to the meeting point.

What a great experience! Chris, our driver and guide, was funny and informative. I learned so much about the region and want to go back and explore more! We went in March 2023 and it wasn't crowded. It felt like the perfect time to go because everything was open. The summer must just be a madhouse! The first stop (Burford) was pretty and had a few interesting shops (probably our least favorite). Next was a quick stop at the prettiest little village Birbury to see the famous Arlington Road houses. The town is so small and quaint, it feels like you are going back in time. Next stop for lunch was Bourton-on-the-Water. This was probably our favorite stop! So much to see and do in a fairytale town. The miniature city was so cute. I'd recommend doing takeaway lunch and walk around since time is limited. Last stop was Stow on the Wold which was pretty but had too many cars. Felt more modern than the other towns. Great day exploring! Wish we had more time in each place.

My family truly enjoyed this trip… Thanks to Chris, our guide, he made this journey, a truly interesting one, describing the history of England and the villages too… Truly moved by his kind gestures, treatment and his patience to all of us… The only sad part was the short duration in Bourton-On-The-Water… However, it’s worth it overall… Will visit it the next time round and manage our time carefully… Thanks so much, Chris… Keep up with the outstanding service rendered… You’ll be remembered for the good times, you’ve given us…

The tour was by David, and he was very friendly! He sang me a song on the way home lol The tour I went to was around 4 places in the Cotswolds, and it was early in the morning (8:30) and ended around 18:00, but I carefully listened to each one. It was a pity that I couldn't see it carefully enough to see it. But I think it's perfect for people who want to go around a lot of different places.
