Starting and returning to the same point as indicated in the brochure as opposed to changing the return point. Very big point - on arrival at the first stop, Brampton, after leaving London, the first order of business should be allowing your bus occupants time to relieve themselves if they need to instead of immediately taking them to a tour site some walk away.

Full description

Discover some of the most picturesque areas of the United Kingdom on this fantastic day trip to the English countryside. For one day, you can swap the hustle and bustle of London for the fresh air and tranquillity of the Cotswolds – what’s not to love? Step into the beautiful Blenheim Palace, enjoy a delicious Cream Tea catch stunning views of some of the prettiest villages within the Cotswolds, and visit the Downtown Abbey behind-the-scenes exhibition at Bampton Library.

The Cotswolds
Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Cotswolds encompasses many picturesque villages within the counties of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, and a few others. Explore the beautiful villages of Bourton-on-the-Water and Bampton – the location where Downtown Abbey was filmed. Visit the Downtown Abbey behind the scenes exhibition at Bampton Library!

Bampton, a charming village in Oxfordshire, England, rose to prominence as the filming location for the beloved television series Downton Abbey. Revered for its picturesque streets and well-preserved historic architecture, Bampton authentically portrayed the fictional village of Downtown in the show, with St. Mary's Church serving as a central backdrop for key story events. Notably, Bampton Library played a unique role by hosting the Downton Abbey 'behind the scenes' exhibition, offering fans an immersive experience into the making of the series. This exhibition further solidifies Bampton's cultural significance in the world of film and television, creating a tangible link between the fictional world of Downton Abbey and the village's timeless charm, making it a must-visit destination for both enthusiasts and curious visitors alike.

The enchanting Bourton-on-the-Water, often referred to as the Venice of the Cotswolds. Consistently recognized as one of England's most beautiful villages, it's a perfect opportunity to keep your cameras handy!

Blenheim Palace
The birthplace and ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill is a striking country house worthy of a fairy-tale located in the Oxfordshire countryside. A designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, Blenheim Palace was built in an English Baroque style back in the 18th century. For about two hours, you’ll have the chance to discover the palace’s sumptuous State Rooms, stroll through the lovely gardens designed by renowned landscape architect Capability Brown and grab a photo opportunity at Blenheim Lake – home to what was once described as the ‘finest view in England’ by Lord Randolph Churchill (father of Winston).

Cream Tea at Blenheim Palace
Enjoy a delicious Cream Tea at Blenheim Palace where you'll enjoy traditional scones with jam and cream, delightfully paired with tea.

Celebrating 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Sir Winston Churchill
Blenheim Palace will be commemorating the 150th anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill's birth in 2024, inviting visitors to join us in celebrating the extraordinary life of this iconic figure.

It was a perfect day. Going to Bampton was a surprise, I guess I didn’t read the whole description of the tour. Wish we could have spent more time at Blenheim, but it was an adequate amount of time. The bus ride was great. Since we had a small group, a small bus probably would have worked. Our guide was very informative & really tried to get to know each of us.
