Top sights in London
Originally built as a temporary structure to mark the millennium, London's magnificent ferris wheel remains one of the city's best-loved attractions to this day. Here are a few other top landmarks to try spotting from its 135-meter peak!
Look north to see Christopher Wren's crowning achievement. St. Paul's Cathedral was the city's tallest building from 1710 to as recently as 1962!
London's sights mostly lie north of the river, but some of its more humble are to the south, such as the iconic Battersea Power Station and the Oval Cricket Ground.
On a clear day you can see as far as Windsor Castle. It's the longest-occupied palace in Europe, and for good reason, too, if it's grand enough to be spotted from 40km away!
"Check the weather forecast before booking your tickets as the best time of day to visit is when London is least foggy. If you're not too bothered about picking out individual sights, then nighttime offers a completely different spectacle!
On most days of the year the ticket office opens at 9:30AM, with the first rotation beginning at 10:00AM. Closing times vary depending on the season, so be sure to check londoneye.com first!"
One full rotation lasts half an hour.

What people are saying about The London Eye
Protesters in London caused all Tour Buses lots of problems on our trip. But the staff that greeted us at The Aldwich were professional and efficient. Once the bus arrived Shane took over and he was fantastic. What a great asset to your company. He apologised many times for events that were totally out of his control (protesters/diversions) We were on the bus much longer than we intended and missed a few things due to the diversions. The weather changed in an instant from blue skies and sunshine to heavy rain but my friends and I stayed put with Shane on the top deck, he stood up throughout. He entertained with great information and humour and even played "Its Raining Men" for us when we were totally soaked. He apologised again & kept us informed when he got off it was so very different. We could not really hear Luke and didn't actually see him - he sat somewhere but we didn't know where. It was disappointing that our £34 each trip was so badly disrupted but Shane made it great fun!
We really enjoyed the view, thankfully the weather was beautiful for a view, sunny and not so much windy. Only thing that surprised me was the need to choose exact time when purchasing the tickets, as the queue was so huge. We got at the cabin few minutes after we had the tickets, so it was okay.
Excellent service even down to changing our time slot, VIP lounge very nice, the host, Jamal, was exceptional and made a great experience even better, view was awesome and a little champagne was just the icing on the cake, would high recommend the service champagne VIP service
