Once on the island, spend the day relaxing at a beautiful tropical island resort – lounge by the pool, dive in the sea or hop on a bicycle to explore the coastline. Your second day features a private snorkeling tour on Gili Trawangan’s quieter but equally beautiful sister island, Gili Air. Get picked up from your accommodation early in the morning and travel to the Teluk Kodek Harbor, where you board a glass-bottom boat so that you can see the fish as they swim about in the waters below. The first stop is Gili Air. Don snorkeling equipment and dive into the clear waters of the island. If lucky, you might spot colorful fish, coral, maybe even a lurking turtle. Head to Gili Meno next and visit a turtle sanctuary before diving underwater to see the famous underwater statues called “The Nest”. Make sure to bring a waterproof phone case or waterproof camera to capture some photos of the unique art installation by sculptor Jason DeCaires Taylor. Have lunch at Gili Trawangan, and spend a few hours chilling by the shores or diving back in for some more Gili snorkeling and other water activities. Then head back to the harbor and return to Lombok to make your last stop of the tour. After a short break, venture on to the Tiu Kelep Waterfall. This 45-minute journey involves climbing up a flight of stairs, crossing a bridge and following a dirt path through a lush forest and across running streams. Feel safe as your guide helps you throughout the trek until you reach the beautiful Tiu Kelep Waterfall. Here, take a break and go swimming. Trek back to the starting point to be taken to the Senaru Village, a traditional village where mountain tribal life and the civilization of past centuries still exist. After spending some time there, head back to your hotel.

Following pick-up from your hotel in Senggigi or Mataram, journey in air-conditioned comfort on the 2.5-hour drive to the east coast of Lombok. Upon arrival, board a local boat that will take you to your 1st snorkeling spot on the island of Gili Lampu. Marvel at the colorful corals and tropical fish, before making your way to the tiny sandbar of Gili Kapal, where you can walk on water, depending on the tides. Get some time to swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters before going to Gili Kondo to swim and snorkel in the pristine sea. Experience the extraordinary colors up close before the return trip back to your hotel.

Spend a day exploring Lombok's northern part, visiting pristine natural landscapes and learning about the history and culture of the locals. In the morning, first make your way out to Malimbu, a lookout point. From here you can see the nearby Gili Islands and Bali's Mount Agung. Continue to Sendang Gile Waterfall, on the foot and slope of Mount Rinjani. The cool, fresh air and calm hill will provide a comfortable resting point, and you may choose to swim in the inviting waters. Then visit Senaru, a traditional village where mountain tribal life and the civilization of past centuries still exist. Finally, visit Bayan Old Mosque, one of the inestimable historical Islamic heritage sites in Lombok which is believed to have been built upon the Islamic people's arrival in the 16th century.

Experience an unforgettable journey to Mount Rinjani on the Indonesian island of Lombok. For the Sasak and Balinese people of Lombok, the volcano is revered as a sacred place and they believe the gods live at the summit of the mountain. This 3-day trekking package designed for advance trekkers takes you to the summit of Mount Rinjani. You will start in Sembalun and encounter steep ascents and descents on a fairly good system of tracks before ending in Senaru. Detailed Itinerary Day 1: Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and then you will transfer to Sembalun. You will register at the Rinjani Information Center (RIC) in Sembalun Lawang, meet your guide, and arrange the national park entry tickets. Your guide will give you a briefing with information on the route, local cultural traditions, and what you might see, as well as rubbish management and safety procedures. The trek starts from Sembalun Lawang with a walk up a gentle ascent through open grassland used by the local people for cattle grazing. You will take a short rest at Pemantauan (1,300 meters) before reaching Tengengean (1,500 meters) after 3 hours, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of Mount Rinjani summit. After a 1-hour ascent to Pada Balong (1,800 meters) you will start to climb amidst the pine-like casuarinas species, locally known as “cemara”. You may see wild pigs and the long-tailed grey macaque monkeys on the way to the campsite at the Plawangan II Sembalun crater rim (2,639 meters). Day 2: An early start at 03:00 is necessary for the hard 3-hour climb to the summit (3,726 meters). Once there, you can enjoy the proud feelings of satisfaction and the amazing views of the sunrise across the Wallace Line to Bali, Mount Agung, and Sumbawa. You will then return down the ridge passing numerous Bunga Abadi edelweiss plants to the crater rim camp for a well-deserved breakfast. After breakfast you will walk 2-3 hours down the steep trail to the crater lake. At the lake you can enjoy swimming or exploring the caves and hot springs, which are believed to have healing powers, while the porters prepare your lunch. After the lunch break, you will leave the lake and climb for 2.5 hours up to the campsite at the Plawangan I Senaru crater rim (2,461 meters). Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the crater rim. Day 3: After breakfast you will descend down the long trail to Senaru village (601 meters), through thick tropical forests rich in flora, birdlife, and a variety of butterflies. You might see orchid and, if lucky, the rare black ebony leaf monkey known locally as “lutung”. You will take rest stops along the way, with village stories and local legends from your guide. Features include the Batu Penyesalan stone and Bunut Ngengkang banyan tree that looks like someone standing with their legs apart. After a 7-hour walk from the rim the trek ends at the Rinjani Trek Center on the road heading to Senaru, where a car is waiting to transfer you to the airport, Senggigi, or Gili Island harbor.

Enjoy the cooler climate of Mount Rinjani National Park in central Lombok on an easy trek to the amazing waterfalls of Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu, over 500 meters above sea level. Upon arrival at Benang Stokel, get the chance to go for a refreshing swim in the pool at the base of the cascades. Marvel at the lush vegetation of the tropical forest as you continue your hike. Arrive at Benang Kelambu and discover a stream of water that creates a beautiful curtain-like effect as it flows through the cracks of plants that grow at the top of the cliff and falls from a height of about 35 meters. 

Following pick-up, travel to the southern part of the island. After about 1.5 hours by car, reach your first stop at Kuta Beach. Admire its white sands and healthy reefs. Relax and grab some lunch before heading to the Sade Sasak village. This village was built in the traditional style of the indigenous Sasak people of Lombok. Learn how to weave as you interact with the locals. Next, visit the pottery village of Banyumulek. This village is one of the main pottery centers of Lombok, specializing in decorated pots and pots with fiber covering as well as urns and flasks. Here, if time permits, enjoy a short ride in the traditional horse and cart. End the day with a visit to Pura Batu Bolong, the oceanside temple known for its rocky surroundings, numerous pagodas, statues and sunset views, before returning to your hotel.
