To learn more about castle history, audio guides are available in 16 languages. The castle is located near the small village of Chenonceaux in the Indre-et-Loire department. Chenonceau castle, also known as the Chateau des Dames, is famous for the great heroines who lived there, such as Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medicis, and for the beauty of its Renaissance gardens. Chenonceau castle was also used as a military hospital during the First World War. Discover the rich history of this incredible fortress.

Es war zwar schade, dass das Schloss nicht unter das unter260€-Angebot fällt, aber es war mit Abstand das schönste Schloss. Gerade, wenn man die Serie Reign gesehen hat, erkennt man viele Bewohnerinnen wieder. Es ist beeindruckend, wie damals schon über dem Wasser gebaut wurde und welch gute Kenntnis der Physik, Statik und Architektur gepaart mit einer kreativen Vorstellungskraft die Erbauer gehabt haben müssen. Große Empfehlung! Leider aber viele Deutsche…

No ticket di precisar agendar horário, o site de agendamento é confuso e não consegui agendar, esse ponto precisa ficar mais bem explicado. Mesmo assim fui ao local e não tive problema em entrar no horário que eu cheguei, mesmo sem agendar hora. Local fantastico

Das Schloss ist mega toll. Leider keine Gepäckaufbewahrung und es war viel zu voll. Obwohl wir ein Zeitfenster gebucht hatten waren die Räume überfüllt und die Besucher waren auch unhöflich, haben keinen Platz gemacht. Am Besten geht man ganz früh morgens, dann hat man vielleicht das Glück fast alleine zu sein und angenehme Luft in den Räumen.
