What people are saying about Portugal's Atlantic Ocean

Yesterday me and my partner visited the Quinta dos Vales Wine Estate for a wine tasting. The guide was very knowledgeable on the subject and after an elaborate introduction to how vineyards work and how they try to distinguish themselves, we were shown every step of the process in making wine. It was very interesting to see and hear how all the machines and tanks operate and after a walk along the machinery we continued downstairs to the cellar where the oak wooden barrels are stored. Once again we were explained in detail how storing of wine works, how the barrels come into play and how interested parties can order their own custom made wines (if you're happy to buy 500+ bottles) After the tour we continued with the most important part, the tasting! We sampled a rose, white and two red wines, the latter two very different from each other. During the tasting freshly baked bread is served with olive oil and glasses of water to reset your taste buds. Overall a great experience

It was really a very impressive experience! The tour is definitely a must when in Madeira. I've never seen such a great sunset. Accompanied by the delicious food, the delicious drinks and the music, it was an all-round perfect experience with unbeatable impressions! It is best to dress warmly, because there is a wind blowing on the mountain.

It was a beautiful and fun tour. Felipe ensured an amazing atmosphere with homemade snacks, great music and a broad section of beverages. We had an hour before sunset to explore the peak. After sunset most of the visitors left, but we stayed and enjoyed the change in colors on the sky and the stars. We can only recommend the experience.

Great trip - nice and chilled with friendly guide and driver. Lots of time to enjoy the sunset and we then had the bonus of the full moon! Highly recommend if, like us, you aren’t up for the early sunrise or the mega hike to Pico Ruivo. This was exactly what we wanted and didn’t disappoint. Thank you to Jorge and Felipe.

It was very nice. The food and hot drinks were good . I recommend this tour in warm blanket
