For those eager to explore further, take a deep breath and get ready to ascend La Caldera, the island’s tallest peak. This volcanic cone, standing at 127 metres, offers breathtaking views of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. The round-trip hike takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and provides a peaceful escape to enjoy the colours and silence of the island. While visiting the northern part of the island, you’ll come across the lighthouse, once maintained by Josefina Plá’s father.
