9. Valencia: 3-Hour City Bike Tour
Leaving directly from the tour office, your guide will lead you on a ride around the most beautiful places in Valencia. More than 2000 years of history can be discovered in the streets of the old quarter. Starting from the historic "Barrio del Carmen" district, visit Plaza de la Virgen, an old square that dates back to the Roman times and Plaza de la Reina, where you can see both the cathedral and the Tower of Miguelete.
Continue to Central Market, Spain’s largest fresh food market which opened in 1928. Close to the market discover La Lonja de la Seda, originally used for silk trading. The last stop is Quart Towers in the city center, a remainder of the old city walls, as well as Torres de Serranos, one of the 12 gates that formed part of the old city wall.
After the historic center, visit the greener and more contemporary side of the city. Explore Turia Gardens, the green lung of the city, one of the largest urban parks in Spain. Ride inside the park until you see the City of Arts and Sciences, a huge futuristic educational complex designed by the famous Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava as a present to his home city.
Finally head to the port and the beach. After a well-deserved, refreshing drink in front of the sea, return to the tour operator's office.
