Discover the multi-peaked mountain of Montserrat on this guided tour, and learn about the rich history of the mountain as you watch an informative presentation. Take a train to the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey enshrining the famed statue, the Virgin of Montserrat, and marvel at spectacular views of the mountain. Set off from Lloret de Mar in the direction of the Montserrat mountain range, located near Barcelona in the natural environment of Catalonia. Upon arrival, enjoy an informative audiovisual about Montserrat. Admire Montserrat's unique jagged features, multiple peaks, serrated edges, and spectacular rock formations. Next, visit the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey — a pilgrimage site due to the abbey's celebrated statue, the Virgin of Montserrat —by riding a zip train up the mountain. Delight in wonderful views of the mountain range, and explore the Benedictine monastery that was founded in the 11th century. See the monks who still inhabit the monastery to this day, and discover one of the oldest boys’ choirs in Europe, the Escolania de Monserrat.

Montserrat, Catalonia - Coach arrived on time at the agreed pickup point. The guide spoke in multiple languages to assist all travellers and for me personally, I wanted to go off and do my own thing (hike Saint Jeroni summit) - so it was helpful that she gave us a time to be back for the coach departure. Would highly recccomend.

I liked my trip, because Montserrat is beautiful and worth to visit. I would like to spend more time in the mountains. 6 hours in the bus was tiring and only 3 hours in the montain was not enough. The guide spoke in three different languages. Our driver was friendly. Trip included the guide, transportation and train to the Montserrat. The cable car wasn't included and we had to pay it. The guide didn't even gave information about different cable cars. We walked up to the top about 45 minutes and after we took a cable car. There were fantastic views. I recommend this trip.

Our day trip to Montserrat was really very good, we were picked up easily and taken to Montserrat and when we arrived we went up the mountain on the train which was a really nice way to view it, and then we had an hour to do as we pleased (which unfortunately was a bit of a rush as there were queues), and then met at the Basilica to get our tickets for entry. Once in the cathedral we realised a lot of our time of two hours would be spent in the queue, so we decided to leave and quickly hike up to the cross instead to take in the views, which we made there and back just in time to the coach pick up point. We would of loved more time to explore, we didn't personally factor in how long it would take for pick ups to other towns and hotels for other people, but we still had a fantastic experience as we found there weren't many companies going from Lloret to Montserrat. Our tour guide Veronique was incredible, speaking five different languages, and our driver Juan was great too.
