Full description
Your excursion begins with a complimentary pick-up from your hotel or alternative meeting point  when pick-up isn't possible at the hotel. During the drive in a comfortable car/minivan your guide will share information and answer to your questions regarding Slovenia. Meanwhile, you will drive about an hour through rural Slovenia towards the Julian Alps. When you arrive in Bled, you will experience a drive around the lake, and a short stroll around Lake Bled where your guide will share his/her knowledge about this beautiful place. After the sightseeing tour of the town, you will have a chance to visit the majestic castle or enjoy a ride in a traditional wooden boat, "pletna" to the island and back, or you can simply enjoy your own time here. After a short drive to Radovljica and a sightseeing tour of the city, you will see the famous Slovenian gingerbread workshop Lectar.  'Lectarstvo' is an old and renowned traditional handicraft of Slovenia. The decorated pastry is made from honey dough and shaped either with a wooden or a tin mold, or by hand. The craft is one of the oldest practiced in cities and squares, while in the countryside lect workshops appeared in the 19th century, during its heyday. Today, honey-bread products are precious souvenirs from Slovenia. Of course, a visit to the Slovenian countryside wouldn't be complete without tasting what Slovenian cuisine has to offer. You will indulge in a typical Alpine region lunch. Later, you  will return to Ljubljana full of wonderful memories, where the tour ends at the meeting point.

We had a wonderful time on our trip to Lake Bled with Get Your Guide. We were pleasantly surprised to be met by Barbara in a wonderful BMW car, and it was a private tour just for us! Our guide was so friendly, so knowledgeable and she customised the day to us where she could and exactly what we wanted to do. Unfortunately it was raining, but she was so courteous and always came to our doors with umbrellas. The lunch and small tour of a gingerbread workshop was fabulous, we had a very tasty Goulash included in the ticket price. We would definitely recommend this tour to all!

Wonderful tour with awesome guide

The tour we took was so worth it. We didn’t book the private tour but ended up getting it as no one else booked! Our tour guide Lana was so sweet and knowledgeable she really taught us a lot of history about Slovenia. Lake Bled was a stunningly beautiful place and we did not feel rushed at all. Lunch was delicious and we loved the gingerbread factory. Thank you Lana!
