Choose the adventure of a lifetime by rafting in the famous Zambezi River. After being picked up from your hotel or lodge in Livingstone, sit back and relax as you drive in air-conditioned comfort to the entrance of Victoria Falls, your starting point for the day. After a comprehensive safety talk from your guide, set off on a small hike down to the Zambezi River where you will pass through spectacular basalt rocks and have the opportunity to take photos of the splendid views. Then, take to the water to start practicing the techniques you will need to tackle the rapids.  Once you are ready, you will tackle the first rapid of the day, 'the Boiling Pot'. Get drenched as you continue through the rapids, riding the Stairway to Heaven, Gulliver's Travel and the Washing Machine in a non-stop heart-pumping adventure down the river. Once you reach the small rapids, you can choose to swim the Zambezi River for a final splash in the water. Finish the day by hiking back up the gorge where a delicious lunch and refreshments will await you before you transferral back to Livingstone.

This was a fun and exciting adventure with Maano Adventures. We had an excellent guide, with many supporting staff on a secondary raft and kayaks to support us. There were also a photographer and a video cameraman that films the trip. There are no additional costs to the photos and videos. What is great about Maano Adventures is that it is the only local company and the employs people out of the surrounding villages. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We had a brilliant time; Enoch and his friends took good care of us and we felt very safe. The rapids were very fierce in parts but I always felt safe; even when I ended up in the Zambezi, I was quickly pulled out. The climb out of the gorge at the end was very hard work for two overweight old ladies but we managed it, thanks to the assistance of the young very fit African men! Thanks again for a wonderful experience. Stephanie Stonehouse
