Full description
You will start the Lake District tour at the medieval village of Hawkshead, famous for its connection with Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. You will have time here to explore the cobbled alleys and get something to eat, from shops to cafe's, galleries and so much more. It's a beautiful village and a highlight of the tour. William Wordsworth's old Grammar School can also be found here, along with St Michael and All Angels Church which overlooks the village of Hawkshead. Enjoy the scenic views of the Lake District. Make your way back to Coniston, famous for its links with Arthur Ransome, John Ruskin and the Bluebird Water Speed record. Take in the stunning scenery and look out for Brantwood, the former home of social reformer and art critic John Ruskin. I booked the tour last minute the evening before. They made sure that the guide knew I was coming as I booked after their official working hours. Our guide was super friendly and she gave us a lot of information about the lake district area. The weather was mixed but our guide was very flexible in which points of the tour to do first. Doing the tour in February was good too, as not as many people were around.

We booked a simmilar tour however it has been canceled last minute because not enough people signed up. We were a bit afraid that this tour might also have been canceled (winter period) but we didn't have the best time. During our tour we were informed that this organization never canceled its tours because of a low number of participants, much appriciated! The lady that gave the tour was so nice and polite and also very knowledgeable. We would like to thank the organization once more for the wonderfull day.

Amazing trip even in the rain. Andy our driver was so knowledgeable, funny, helpful and a great character to have as a guide. Had a phenomenal day out seeing a huge amount of the lake District and would definitely recommend for anyone looking to go but not wanting to drive or not sure where to go on the journey
