As a resident of Liverpool I wanted to show my Scottish niece and great nephews the river and booked us all on the river explorer cruise last Saturday. It was a lovely experience, and we went on the Dazzle. The staff were exceptionally kind to me as I an partially disabled. I’ll be writing separately to thank you.

Overall the tour is good. The access down to the ferry is very steep so a little difficult for people with mobility issues. The commentary could be a bit clearer but it is interesting. Lots of landmarks pointed out and history given. If you take this tour be aware that you can get off on the. other side of the river and then rejoin it. Get Your Guide online booking only offers discounts for older users but not for disabled. Some of the activities in Liverpool (Beatles Story and the Wheel) charge full price for disabled but their carer goes free. So it's a lot cheaper to go directly to the pay point at these places. I'd check first if you are traveling with a disabled person

A really interesting way to get to know Liverpool and the port area. The ferry wasn't full so we had a good seat with an unrestricted view and were able to take great photos. A lot is also told about the history of the port. One star deducted because the Öied Ferrie cross the Mersey was only played briefly when docking, we would have liked to have heard that in its entirety.
