My cousin and my sister came to visit me from Switzerland and I was told by a friend from London about this tour and we booked it, very excited. We were not disappointed at all, if anything, our expectations were exceeded by far! Kevin was our tour guide and he was absolutely brilliant! He showed us places where the members of the Beatles grew up, told us a lot about their childhoods, where the Beatles met for the first time, where Paul McCartney still shows up from time to time, took pictures in front of all the important places and you could tell he told you the stories from the bottom of his heart, a true Beatles fan! The tour lasted three hours and we stopped at various places, we're able to get out of the taxi, take pictures, and during the drive, we could sing along all the songs! It was absolutely brilliant, we cannot even describe how much we enjoyed this tour and Kevin as our guide! He earns more than 5 stars! Just brilliant!!
Our driver was Steve in the Lovely Rita taxi. Steve's knowledge about The Beatles was so detailed it was fascinating. We saw where they lived as children, visited Eleanor Rigby's grave and who knew that Strawberry Fields was a house let alone one that meant so much to John Lennon. We were told what was behind the songs we all know and then when Steve played them, back in the taxi, they meant so much more than they had before - very moving. All in all, a great experience - our thanks to Steve, No 1 Beatle fan! It wasn't cheap for us because the taxis are a set price so if you have a group of 6 people then that would be good value but there was only 3 of us so it worked out quite expensive but that didn't spoil our enjoyment.
