Full description

Enjoy a ride through the romantic village of Obidos, the first stop on this 8-hour excursion. Its medieval structures within the castle walls are a definite highlight of the trip. Stop for a taste of ginjinha, which is a traditional liqueur of this region. Afterwards, head to Nazaré, a small fishing village that is now known for its beaches and giant waves. International surfers compete here in one of the world’s largest competitions. In Alcobaça visit the monastery that dates to 1178. It was the first completely Gothic structure ever built in Portugal, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the tombs of royalty, and hear about one of Portugal’s most endearing love stories.

We have taken 2 private tours with Luis Miguel who was wonderful! One to Obidos, Nazare and Albacoa the other to Sinta. Both were fabulous! He is a knowledgeable guide and a lovely person who will try his best to provide a memorable experience. We plan to visit Evora and the Alentejo region with him next. We highly recommend him and know you will have an amazing tour.

Luis Miguel was a great tour guide! He was very informative with the history and culture as well as making the most out of our time together. He even went out of his way on our way back from the tour to show us one more special spot in Lisbon before dropping us off by our hotel, definitely recommend!
