What a fabulous place for all ages to explore! The Oceanarium section central display is fantastic and each level provides different view point to observe all of the varied marine life on display. Break out sections provide background info on each exhibit. The forests underwater exhibition is breathtaking and tranquil, make sure you take the time to read about the architect and background to the exhibit. On a baking hot Lisbon summers day, there is no better place to be.
I visited the Oceanário de Lisboa today and had a wonderful time! Everything was well-organized, clean, and visually stunning. Even though it was a Monday, there were quite a lot of people — but luckily, the space is big enough and it never felt overcrowded. My absolute favorite was the sea otter, who was so playful and entertaining! He seemed completely unbothered by the crowd and even appeared to enjoy showing off for visitors — such a highlight of the day! 🦦 There were so many fascinating fish species, beautiful aquariums, and peaceful underwater scenes — really calming and impressive. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to have more penguins and maybe an option to get a bit closer to them — it would be amazing to interact with them somehow. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended for both adults and children. Would definitely come back again!
