Absolutely wonderful place, so peaceful, it's centered around a giant (not sure if the word giant does it justice) tank of every species you could imagine to hope to see, there's veiwing points all around including nooks and benches and even just to sit on the floor and stare in, it's a wonderful experience! Interactive, interesting and a huge amount of species to learn about and see, highly recommend, smaller tanks and other open areas are dotted around so you can sit and observe many different species going about their lives.

Join the 28 million visitors from 182 countries that have visited the Oceanario in Lisbon since it opened in 1998, making it one of the most popular things to do in Lisbon. Located on the grounds of the Expo 98 site, it is the largest indoor aquarium in Europe. Your entrance ticket allows you access to all permanent and temporary exhibitions. Celebrate life on earth through stunning displays of more than 8,000 creatures from 500 species and learn about the complexity of the world’s oceans. Divided into 4 separate bodies of water - representing the North Atlantic, Antarctic, Temperate Pacific, and Tropical Indian Ocean - large acrylic panels cleverly divide each from a central aquarium to create the impression that all living creatures roam in one single mass of salt water!

The Oceanario is located in the Parque das Nacões waterfront of Lisbon, and easily can be reached from the city’s historic center by bus, underground, train, boat and also car. The Oceanario also is a popular stop for hop-on hop-off buses. Oceanário de Lisboa. The following bus routes serve "Oriente," the nearest stop to the Oceanário: 5, 10, 19, 21, 28, 50, 68, 81, 82, 85. To get there by subway, follow the red "M" signs and take the red line to "Oriente," which is the last stop. GPS: N 38º 45' 48,61'' W 9º 5' 37,62''
