Full description
Escape the hustle and bustle of Lisbon on a full-day tour of Sintra, and discover the whimsical architecture of the town center and Sintra Natural Park. Following a pick-up from your hotel in Lisbon, transfer by air-conditioned, 8-seat vehicle to the extravagant Pena Palace, perched on a rock that overlooks the coastline of Lisbon. Marvel at is mix of Moorish and Manueline motifs, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding woods. Hear the romantic story of the palace, and feel like a member of the Portuguese Royal Family. Head to Cabo da Roca, continental Europe’s westernmost point, and get a souvenir certificate inscribed with the words "Where the Land Ends and the Sea Begins" by Camões. Pass the stunning beaches of Cascais, including Praia do Guincho, the most scenic beach on the Lisbon coastline. En route to Cascais, experience the mystery of the "Devil's Mouth” cave, created by the crashing of the waves on the rocky bluff. Stop in the elegant resort town of Cascais, a once quiet fishing village that was discovered by the European nobility for its idyllic setting, and became a favorite destination for the international jet set thereafter. I can't recommend this tour enough! The places themselves were beautiful and totally worth the visit, but our guide, Antonio, made the whole trip extra special by giving us the history and context of everything before we even left Lisbon. Sintra castle is gorgeous, but, because it's so crowded, having Antonio there to explain what each room was for really helped make sense of it all. Having some down time in Cascais in the afternoon was also really good, and Boca do Inferno is a really beautiful place.

This is one of the best way to visit Sintra & Cascais in 1 day. The duration for each location is just right. The tour guide was explaining so many interesting things and even while driving. The lunch time was a little bit late, about 2pm at Cascais, but in the other hand, having more time in Cascais was really great, it is really a nice place. For muslims, halal food and small masjid are also available there.

this is THE way to see Sintra, Cascais and all other sites included in the tour - Highly Recommended! we packed so much into our full day, but never felt rushed - we were able to see AND learn about the sites & locations as we were provided with great story-telling by our excellent guide, Antonio. he guided us through everything and went above & beyond with his recommendations to enhance our experience. plus, there were only 7 of us and it ended up feeling like a small group of friends touring around together.
