Full description
Jump on board the most famous tram in Lisbon for an adventure through the narrow streets of the Old Town. Prepare to be wowed with panoramic views of the city and river as the tram climbs one of Lisbon’s many hills. Back on foot, go beyond the tram route to explore the most interesting places of the hill where the city was born. On Tuesdays and Saturdays you will enjoy the vibrancy of Lisbon’s oldest flea market, the famous Feira da Ladra. Get a closer look at some of the historical buildings, such as Sé de Lisboa, the medieval cathedral where the walls conceal and reveal almost 1,000 years of history. You will also see the impressive Mosteiro de São Vicente de Fora (Saint Vincent Monastery), and discover the legend behind the Panteão Nacional (National Pantheon), home to the most iconic dome on Lisbon´s enchanting skyline. Stroll through the maze of streets and alleys in the traditional neighborhood of Alfama, walking along narrow and steep streets that lead to beautiful small squares. Witness the authentic way of life of the inhabitants, and learn more about the traditional Portuguese Fado in tiny bars and cafés.

The guide (a young whose name I can't remember now) was very informed and he gave us a lot of information and a lot of history behind it. I was not too thrilled with the fact we had to wait for a while to get tram 28 which was not full. I think they should maybe have a tram for just the tourist. groups. The tram itself was very charming. I would have preferred that the tour ended up in the same place where it started. We had to make our way back with a taxi.

Tour was informative you can tell the guide Nono cared about the history. He sometimes went on a tangent but I think that's because he's passionate lol. I def learned a lot and I prob wouldn't have went to those places otherwise. Def recommend the tour.

This was a great way to see Lisbon and get to ride the famous Tram line 28. Nuno has so much knowledge to share, and has some funny jokes along the way - comfy shoes are a must and there are places to grab a quick sit down along the way (at view points and in the churches) if you need a little rest.
