      Beautiful place to visit and our guide was very knowledgable. She spent about 30-40 minutes (tour says 15) walking us around and giving us a good background of the castle and then we were free to explore on our own. We were there in low season so skip the line wasnt necessary, but liked the additional guidance.

      The view from the castle was awesome overlooking Lisbon. History of the castle is limited due to it being in ruins and no proper recorded documents available according to the guide. Not much to see as I expected in the castle grounds but the view from the look out were fantastic.

He taught us so much about the history,told many interesting stories,honestly saying it was a great kick off for our holiday. We felt so lucky to have him as our guide.
