Lisbon: Private Tour to Évora and Cork Factory

Évora was definitely worth seeing and we even enjoyed the ride to get there. The giant electric towers covered in Stork nests were fascinating. The cork factory was worth seeing but there really wasn’t much activity going on. The factory store had some lovely products. The town was very interesting with the wall that surrounded it. Our guide Pedro was very nice and knowledgeable but his voice was very soft and I had a difficult time hearing him. My husband and I are hard of hearing and even with our hearing aids it was challenging. No fault of Pedro’s but was right in the range that is hardest for us to hear. We enjoyed our walk to the ruins and stopped at the Cristo Rei statue on the way home which gave us a beautiful view of Lisbon and the bridge.

Our tour was amazing! Pedro was very nice and friendly. He made sure we were comfortable the entire trip between the car ride (offering to stop for coffee/bathroom) to modifying plans slightly when the weather turned. Our visit to the cork factory was incredible! We loved seeing the process of how cork gets harvested and processed. We then went to Évora-beautiful city! We saw the chapel of bones as well as the st. Francis cathedral. My friend was on the hunt for local olive oil and Pedro helped us find the best price in the area! Great tour!

Too long for a day trip. Interesting to see chapel of bones and cork factory but otherwise not that interesting. Not worth 2 hour drive each way
