Our guide, Al, provided an extensive walking tour and commentary on the existence and condition of the Jewish community in Lisbon throughout history. He treated us to dates from Israel purchased at a local shop as well as a coffee/tea break toward the end of the tour. We appreciated the opportunity to learn from Al's extensive knowledge of his subject matter and to visit the Alfama and other neighborhoods on a very hilly walking tour! Great job...thank you!
A really comprehensive walk about the history of Jewish life in Lisbon and Portugal (as well as the wider world). Also plenty of material about the City of Lisbon. Luciano was so passionate and knowledgable about the subject and this really came over. Very enjoyable and my wife and I really felt well worth doing.
