Start your tour with pickup from your hotel in the Lisbon city center and enjoy a scenic drive to the Shrine of Fatima, a major Catholic pilgrimage site. Learn about the miracle of the Virgin Mary's apparition to 3 shepherd children here in 1917. Next, visit the Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site and Gothic monument, built by King John I of Portugal. It was a last-minute tour that my brother and I decided to book while waiting to board our plane but we were pleasantly surprised by everything we saw and experienced. Our tour guide, Antonio was excellent and very knowledgeable. He was also seemed very well-traveled himself and him and my brother pretty much talked all throughout the drive. We had so much fun and we learned a lot. The only thing is we wished we had more time to explore Obidos. It was our favorite in the tour but unfortunately an hour in Obidos was just not enough to see everything it has to offer. But overall, I highly recommend this tour and you'll be lucky if you get Antonio as your tour guide!

The day trip was wonderful! A few of the younger adults were late 3 of the 4 stops we made and were a bit obnoxiously loud as the guide attempted to share info on the next destination we were going to reach but Andre did a wonderful job ensuring all guests had a wonderful time and felt included. He switched from Portuguese and English translation effortlessly to ensure the Brazilian couple in the group were just as well informed as the English speaking ones. Andre was friendly and happy to answer questions throughout the day as we went. The site of Fatima was very moving and is definitely a site to experience even if you’re not of the Catholic/Christian faith. A tip: make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Óbidos was wonderful- the streets are all cobblestones as most of Lisbon is. Would definitely recommend this tour if you want a taste of different cities in Portugal.
