He was so very knowledgeable and informative. My guide was also very professional and I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in history.
Rui shared a very detailed history of Portugal’s role in the slave trade, and more specifically the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. I was not aware of the country’s role in this history. Some information I had heard before, but much was new to me. Because it was a walking tour, the history came to life through the stories. Rui was very respectful and took time to answer everyone’s questions. The small group size was perfect, and I enjoyed the tour very much.
