Full description

This was where it all started. Meet in the heart of the city nestled on the oldest hill in Lisbon. It is the hill of fado and of the typical taverns that preserve their genius and traditional roots.
From the quarters of Graça and Alfama, through Mouraria up to the São Jorge Castle, you may be lucky enough to come across a sardine barbecue on the streets. Hop out into Alfama, take a walk through this music quarter, and listen to its cries.
You will be able to see Roman remains, medieval houses that survived the 1755 earthquake, the magnificent Lisbon Cathedral, squares livened up by outdoor cafés, and nooks and alleys reminiscent of Arab cities – Lisbon’s multicultural history has also left its mark here. 
In addition, enjoy incredible views of the city from the many natural windows that it offers.

My wife and I went on this tour to get to know the city better, only thing we would have changed was to do it sooner. Great way to kick off a longer trip. We also lucked out with our guide, Tiago. Not only did he show off the amazing scenery and history of the city; he provided us amazing recommendations for food and other activities. He really did a great job at making sure we saw the authenticity of the city and not just major tourist attractions.
