I was able to pick it up in a matter of minutes at the airport once I had left the baggage area. It was simple to use ( a card) I was able to use it to get to my hotel from airport and there are a number of free entries to Lisbons major attractions and discounts on tours, boat rides, shopping etc.. If you are going to Lisboa for a couple of days or more and intend to see a lot of the attractions and the city itself then this is a must. Free travel to Sinatra is also included, I don’t have enough time on my trip to go a day to Sintra but I will definitely be going if I return to Lisboa

  • The Lisboa Card is personal and not transferable. It is not valid unless signed and completed with the date and time at which you will start using the card
  • The national monuments and museums are closed on Mondays
  • National monuments and museums are closed on the following dates: January 1, Easter Sunday, May 1, December 24 and 25, and on municipal holidays (June 13 in Lisbon and June 29 in Sintra)
  • Please note that buses within Sintra are not included, as they are operated by different companies
  • It is mandatory to download the Lisboa Card Guide on your mobile, in order to have all the use instructions
  • Please note that Castelo de São Jorge is Free *Except children aged 13 to 15.

With the Lisbon card you can visit many places of interest without additional charge. It is also an excellent option either to move within Lisbon or to visit Sintra and Cascais. In my personal case, the Lisboa Card was worth it
