I used CityMapper to get around which gave me the options between the bus and the metro. There were other options such as electric scooter and tram which I did not use. It was very convenient to use the travel pass and it gave me free access to a few of the tourist sites which was very helpful. If you are going around on a budget- and do not want to spend money on transportation then this is definately a good option. The card gets activated from the moment you use it on a bus/tram/train. It is only valid within Lisbon and you cannot use it to travel to other cities like Faro or Algave.

Easy to exchange at the airport for the card. However, unless you plan on visiting lots of the attractions, you might be better buying just daily travel cards and paying individually for the things you definitely want to see. A lot of attractions can't be used with the Lisbon card.

The card is definitely worth it, even if you don't manage to call up many of the included services - there simply isn't enough time for that. But just for the transports - regardless of whether it's metro, trams or inner-city trains - it's brilliant - because the charging stations of the transport systems are often overcrowded - and if you can't use them properly then you just waste time and nerves. What is not well solved - when redeeming the voucher for the actual LisboaCard at the airport in Lisbon, it can happen that you have to wait a long time here, because too many people go to the counter at once. We were lucky - but before the return flight we could see that the counter was totally overcrowded. Unfortunately, you need the card to then be able to drive into Lisbon without any problems. Price-performance ratio absolutely okay - of course only if you are active.
