Excellent. Our guide, Daniel was really hospitable and catered to our needs along the trip. He not only explained the history of the monuments we visited but also provided interesting details about the areas we passed through on the drive. Almourol Castle is something out of a fantasy movie, it's situated in the middle of a small river which we needed a boat to cross and was fully explosive inside and out. Convento de Cristo is stunning, featuring ornate carvings both inside and out as well as stunning architecture. All throughout the tours we had Daniel with us, explaining the history and significance of each detail. The city of Tomar is a hidden gem and far underappreciated by the Portugese tourism industry. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys history or architecture.

Daniel was great. Very knowledgeable and shared a lot about the history of places we went. I liked that he stayed with us at each place and spoke about different rooms and features in each location. Tomar is a very interesting place with fascinating history. Tomar also had great variety of lunch options / restaurants available.

Spend a day in the Portuguese City of Tomar to discover the history of the Knights Templar. Your journey will begin in Lisbon.
Tomar was the Templar capital of Portugal and Spain and one of the most important in the medieval world. The main monument of the city is the Tomar Convento de Cristo, Guide and Ticket inlcuded. which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
A short distance from Tomar is the Almourol Castle. This emblematic monument was at one time controlled by the Knights Templar. 
The Almourol Castle and the city of Tomar are perfect examples to understand the mystique of the Templars, men that were simultaneously Warrior Knights and monks that lived under a rigid military discipline, but at the same time with a great rigor in the spiritual life.
At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off at one of two locations in central Lisbon, either Restauradores or Marquês de Pombal.

We had a fabulous day! Our guide was top notch. Even while on freeway travel between locations he told us about places along the way, pointing out cork trees and their importance and history. Very knowledgeable on the Templars. So pleasant and accommodating for all that ended up in our group. It was diverse travelers When we couldn’t take the boat trip to the castle due to flooding he still told us all about its history and stories. I can’t recall a question he couldn’t answer. It was great!
