Set sail from Alcantara Harbor at 10:00, and sit back and relax in the sun. The Portuguese King Luis I chose Cascias for his summer vacations back in the 19th century, building the yacht “Sirius” in the resort town, and turning it into a cosmopolitan address for Portugal’s well-heeled. The “Sirius” can now be seen in Lisbon's Maritime Museum.
Upon arrival at Cascais Bay, drop anchor and take a dip in the refreshing waters. Enjoy a typical seafood lunch, prepared according to the season (typical dishes include fresh squid, melon and ice cream). Go ashore after lunch to wander the enchanting streets of Cascais. Or stay aboard and soak up the afternoon sun. You will set sail again at around 15:30, hoisting the sails to let the wind carry you to the mouth of the River Tagus.
Continue up river for an estimated arrival in Lisbon at 18:30, just in time to enjoy the city’s evening festivities.
