Full description

Immerse yourself in the rich history of Sintra on a day trip from Lisbon. Explore the surroundings of Pena Palace, visit a Portuguese wine cellar, and sample 6 local wines.

Meet your guide in Lisbon city center and travel to Sintra in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan.

At your first stop, Pena Palace, explore the fairytale-like palace gardens with your guide. Admire exotic trees from all over the world and take in incredible views of the town and its countryside from the highest peaks of Serre de Sintra.

Next, continue to Torres Vedras to visit a Lisbon wine region. Pay a visit to a prestigious wine cellar where you'll meet a local viticulturist who will explain the history of the cellar. Learn about everything from ancient techniques to modern wine-making equipment.

Continue your tour of the winery with a visit to the Lagar (wine press house). Travel back in time as you learn about old Portuguese wine-making processes and admire the surrounding houses and gardens.
