Itinerary:

The destination of this trip is Évora, the city of sunshine considered the princess plains of the south. Immerse yourself in the tranquil countryside consisting of rolling plains with cork and holm oaks of Alentejo. Here you can enjoy peaceful nature and be charmed by the whitewashed houses of the region. Delight in the colors of the granary of Portugal with its grand estates.

You will drive through the plains of Alentejo to Évora, the museum city of Portugal that has been recognized as a World Heritage Site since 1986. Gain an overview of the city on a tour along the historical city wall to the aqueduct from the era of the Roman Empire.

Embark on a journey through time from the ancient Roman Temple of Diana to the impressive cathedral. Alternatively, you can also visit the famous St. Francis Church and the eerily beautiful Chapel of Bones. Stroll through the picturesque and atmospheric old town to Praça do Giraldo, the most central square in the city with its impressive marble fountain and interesting arcades.

Those with an appetite for delicious Portuguese cuisine can enjoy lunch in one of the many restaurants in the city center. There you will also have some free time.

In the afternoon you will continue on to Estremoz, the marble capital of Portugal, where you can see how marble is mined. For a coffee break, head into the center of the picturesque town which has been influenced by the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Afterwards you will drive back to your hotel.
