What People Are Saying About Lisbon
When we arrived it was quite busy the person selling tickets just ignored us. We spoke to a female bus driver who said she could not exchange our voucher for tickets . When we asked the person selling tickets she said I only sell tickets I do not know, the driver muttered in Portuguese and drove off. We spoke to another driver who had no problem with the voucher, we witnessed this happen to other people . My advice do not book in advance as the voucher causes problems, buy the tickets at the bus terminal .
Easy to book, good value over 48 hours if you can fit in at least three of the tours, and free travel on public buses and trams too.
The tour is so relaxed the tour guide was like our friend - spoke excellent English. The segways we used are so much easier to use than it looks but so fun - after an hour of finishing the tour my husband and daughter were looking up segway prices to buy one for themselves. The tour itself was great seeing all the sights with all the interesting history (much easier than walking too!!) The training before hand is so relaxed and makes you feel safe and allows you to relax before starting the tour.
Arrived very tentative about attempting to ride a Segway around Lisbon but after the guys gave us a run down on what to do and after just five minutes of practice (which surprisingly, is all we needed), to make sure we could handle them safely, we were off and running. We couldn't keep the smiles off our faces the entire time. I must admit we didn't try any busy or small streets but stuck to relatively wide open places but there were plenty of those to keep us entertained. If I got the chance to go back to Lisbon I would definately do this again maybe being a little bit more adventurous. Thanks guys you were brilliant.
It hadn't been clear that our pass entitled us to use the local bus and tram services as well as the Yellow Bus service. This meant that on one occasion we couldn't get on the Castle Tram because it was full and had to wait for the next one, when in fact we could have used one of the local trams. The route maps on the Yellow buses were very useful - a similar thing showing the routes of the other services would have been a great addition.
