  • From Rhodes City: Boat Day Trip to Lindos

    1. From Rhodes City: Boat Day Trip to Lindos

On this tour, you will visit the stunningly beautiful village of Lindos by boat. On the way back, the boat will make stops at Anthony Quinn's Bay for photos and both Tsambika's and Lindos's emerald bays so you can relax and go for a swim. The boat departs at 8:50 AM from Mandraki port and returns at approximately 5:30 PM. Lindos is a magnificent acropolis on an imposing rock. On the top of the rock stands a centuries-old acropolis, proudly overlooking the archipelagos. The acropolis bears silent witness to Lindos’ glorious past, a major naval power of ancient times which reputedly had a population of 17,000. The view of Lindos village, with its cubic houses sprawling down the hillside under the acropolis, is one of the most photographed scenes in Greece. The whitewashed labyrinth of little alleyways was deliberately designed to confuse pirates, today this layout makes wandering aroun...

+1 hour free time in Lindos would be very useful, but the whole trip was perfect. Congratulations to the crew.

From there, you’ll paddle alongside secluded beaches and spectacular rock formations that contribute to the emerald green color of the waters around you. On the return trip, take your time and enjoy the tranquility of your surroundings. After arriving back at the starting point, some time will be given to relax and have a shower at the nearby taverna/beach bar. Finally, you’ll be transferred back to your pickup location, if you choose the tour option with transfers.

Absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience. The guides are so fun, helpful and knowledgeable and they really make the experience special. They provided us with a picnic lunch with fresh ingredients and traditional Greek food, of which there was plenty to go around. We even finished the day with a race and a beer. We used the hotel transfers which was so efficient and handy. Definitely the best thing we’ve done in Rhodes and would definitely recommend!

Had a fantastic day paddle boarding, snorkelling and cliff jumping! Friendly and enthusiastic instructors, and a really nice sport once you get the hang of it (complete novice here but managed to stay on my feet for quite some time!). After cliff jumping we also got to swim through some caves and had photos taken. We had spare time at the end and where shown how to do some tricks on the boards too - great fun!

Finally, the hike reaches its highest point and is time for some fantastic pictures of “Navarone Bay” with its azure colored water, or even some meditation on how beautiful this endless sea is. This was a very high-end experience. From the bus pick up to the drop off, everything was carefully thought-through and organised so as to be extremely pleasurable. The guides are excellent teachers and had the right balance of encouragement and sense of fun. The group stops every now and then to look at something and learn some new information about what we are seeing. I felt really safe the whole time. And although we were much older than the others in our group, that didn’t matter at all. I would totally recommend this trip. It’s most fun if you are two people together but the one single person seemed to have a good time too.

I found it very pleasant that the bus was air-conditioned, but not like a refrigerator. We were picked up on time and saw a lot on the way. Gladly to Lindos again, wonderful!

Amazing trip! The organisation was really good and our team of guides was super friendly we had lots of fun and learned a lot about the island, too! 5 stars!
