The activity was fantastic. You should know you are not guaranteed to touch a Sea Lion. It is possible, but I was the only one in my group who got to touch one. You can also bring your phones into the water but you will need a waterproof sleeve for your phone. They sold me one for before I went on the boat and it was worth it. Also, you change into and out of the wet suit on the boat, I would recommend wearing what you plan to wear under your wet suit when you arrive as you will not have privacy to change.

The crew were funny, engaging, genuinely happy to take us out to swim with the sea lions. The experience was amazing. I have swum, surfed, dived in the ocean for 50 years but never have I been happier in the water than I was swimming with the sea lions. Their noise, inquisitive and fun nature was incredible. I was fortunate enough to be nibbled on the foot by one! Words can’t describe. Have no second thoughts, do it, you won’t regret it.

We went on a next to full trip. It offers fantastic seabird views on the way out : Humboldt Penguins, Pelicans , Inca terns, Bobbys, Comorants etc. Sea-lions are there in the 1000s. You get very close. We opted not to swim but most participants did. The sea-lions did not swim close to the swimmers but views were very great. I give this a high rating for the views. Tour was professional but left semi-professional impression. The organization was ok but so-so, life-vests functional but missing a few straps. Guides helpful and spoke English but the guiding was quite rudimentary. However , you mainly need the drive anyway.
