Discover the colonial and modern look of the city of Lima on this private tour by visiting Miraflores, San Isidro and the historical center. This is a great, short introduction for first-time visitors.
What to Expect
Embark on a city tour that allows you to get to know the main tourist attractions of Cercado de Lima, San Isidro and Miraflores districts, the most important ones in the city.
In Cercado de Lima, you will visit the main square of Lima, the cathedral that has a Renaissance style façade and various chapels such as the Sagrada Familia and La Inmaculada Concepción. In addition, around the square, you will see the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace, the Archbishop's Palace and the Union Club.
Later on, you will visit the Convent of San Francisco and Catacombs. See many houses with designs from colonial times, its beautiful balconies and the San Martín Plaza, declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 1988.
In San Isidro, enjoy a short visit to this district to see the famous El Olivar Park, one of biggest olive parks in Peru. Then visit the financial area, where all the banks and corporate offices can be found.
In Miraflores, you will visit from the outside, the Huaca Pucllana or Pucllana Temple built on mud and known for being one of the first ceremonial centers of Lima culture. The modern area of this district includes a visit to Miraflores Park, which is nowadays famously called the "Cat's Park," for its many cats surrounding the park. Here, you will have a beautiful view of the sea visiting Malecón Cisneros and Love Park, which is visited by many couples who want to experience a romantic and cozy sensation overlooking the sea.
Your final stop will be Larcomar, the main and most exclusive shopping mall of Miraflores and one of the most modern in Lima. Enjoy lunch here (not included) with beautiful views of the sea.
