Full description
Enjoy a 4 hour-long street food tour with this in the historic center of Lima. During the tour, stop by some of the most classic, but also the more contemporary resto-bars of Lima city center to have a taste of the popular “comida al paso”. While discovering tasteful local delicacies such as chilcano, churros, or anticuchos, you’ll be learning more about the important historical facts which took place in this specific area of the city, as well as interesting facts regarding the economy and daily life in Peru. In the main square, known as "Plaza de Armas", appreciate some of the most impressive architectural monuments — heritage left by the Spanish conquerors. This tour will only be guided in English. For the comfort of the group, guides will not be providing their service in multiple languages simultaneously, even to those who only speak Spanish. We arrived 10 minutes early and the guide was already there and waiting for us. She started our tour right away. We wandered all around the historic district trying a number of savory and sweet treats, as well as several nice drinks. Our guide Diana was very knowledgeable about the history of the area as well as telling us lots about local foods in Lima. We had an awesome time on the tour and we would highly recommend it. We do food tours in most cities we visit and this one was one of the best. Make sure to come hungry.

What a great evening in Lima! The first "bite" was the best churro that we had ever tasted in our lives! Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting as she led us around the city, stopping in at different unique locations to eat authentic foods and drinks. At the end of the tour, we were all overly stuffed, but could not stop talking about the fun, food and interesting people we had met. Emilie, in the office, was overly kind and professional, giving us all the information that we needed before the event. Our driver was prompt and safe. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes a perfect evening on the town, learning about Lima.
