Full description
Start this colorful afternoon from your hotel, then drive with your guide to “El Callao”. Once in Callao, discover a place full of art and history, and walk around old streets rejuvenated by colorful murals and urban art. After time to take plenty of pictures, visit the “Fugaz” art gallery, where you will find different kinds of art expositions like photography, paintings, sculpture, and more. Continue with this cultural ride around Lima by taking the highway alongside the Pacific Ocean to Barranco. On the way, hear some stories about Peru and its capital city or maybe talk about any topic you are interested in. Barranco is one of the most colorful places in Lima and is known as the bohemian district. Here, capture different art expressions and enjoy one of the best views in Lima. This section of the tour also includes a visit to the Jade Rivera exhibition. Rivera is a muralist whose technique and style are determined by his personal experiences and his perspective of the environment in which he lives. Likewise, man's relationship with nature is another recurring motif in the artist's pieces. After Barranco, you'll be taken back to your hotel.

We had literally the best day ever with Alfonso showing us around Callao and Barranco! So good in fact we booked him to show us Lima City the following day. The sights, colour, music and art we saw were breathtaking ... from the street art in Callao to the art, music and impromptu dancing we saw in Barranco. It really was like seeing the city with a friend, not a travel guide. Highly recommend!! The following day tour included not only seeing the major sites downtown with as much or as little explanation as we wanted, but also sampling the amazing delicious local food from market stalls to street vendors! It has opened our eyes (and appetite) to Peruvian food. Thanks guys!

I loved my visit, especially Callao, very rich in murals, murals linked to the life of the neighborhood and the inhabitants. Callao's visit was accompanied by Rodrigo, a resident and rapper of the neighborhood, which brings a big plus. I could have spent hours there without being tired. Thanks to Pablo who took care of me for this visit, and to his kindness. I would keep a good memory of Lima through these paintings and colors and its inhabitants. Thank you

So this might sound exaggerated but I have been in Lima for 4 weeks and went on various tours but this was by far the BEST, most informative and fun tour I have done so far!! Choji made this day unforgettable, I got to see a different part of Lima and learned so many new things from a local that reeally knows his city and country. He actually also knew all the people in the neighbourhoods which made me feel very safe at all times! Please don't miss this experience this is really worth it! :-)
