From Lima: Monumental Callao

The tour starts with the pick up from your hotel. We will visit the Real Felipe Fortress, symbol of Callao and of all Peru for being the only military construction of the viceroyalty (dating from the middle of the XVIII century); its purpose was to protect the port against the attacks of pirates and corsairs from all over the world. We will continue with a walk through the streets of Callao Monumental (Historical Zone of Callao). Afterwards, we will move through the neighborhood of the Italian immigrants. Chucuito of picturesque houses built since the XIX century, which gives way to the last district of Callao. Visit to La Punta, the smallest district of Callao, where we will visit the Malecon Pardo with a view of the Callao Islands and the waterfront. Lunch. Free / Not Included. Then we will continue with a walk through the wetland Poza La Arenilla del Callao (Refuge of hundreds of guano birds and migratory birds). Explanation of the place, view of the waterfront to Chorrillos and free time for photos or boat ride to Gilligan Island. Return to Lima in private transportation to your hotel. End of our services.
