Full description
The tour starts with a pick up from your hotel and head on the Panamerican Highway to the citadel of Caral. During the trip, you will be served some fruits, cookies, and drinks on board for you to enjoy. Since it's a long drive and a private tour, stops are available during the tour.
Before arriving in Caral, admire the beautiful landscapes of the Supe Valley, that is famous for the cultivation of products like avocados, potatoes, onions, strawberries, maracuyas, chili pepper and many more. Later, there will be a guided tour by the citadel where you will observe the great pyramids and the valley of Supe. The pyramids are believed to be built around the year 5000 B.C. You will visit the circular terraces, residential areas, pyramids, amphitheater, and main plazas.
This private tour has been prepared to help you understand the history of the culture of ancient Peru. After the tour to Caral, you will visit Huacho, a populated city famous for its delicious dishes such as lomo saltado, rice with duck, seco a la huachana, milanesa de pollo, among many others. You will also visit a typical restaurant in front of the sea and enjoy lunch with dishes and drinks from the region.
After lunch, you can choose to explore the beach of Huacho and see how the fishermen of the area work. You will return to Lima at approximately 5:30 PM.
