Full description

Experience a 2-day tour outside of Lima. After your hotel pickup in Lima, depart to Paracas, a beautiful town by the sea. Travel on a spacious bus and relax for the 4-hour ride. Once in Paracas, take a 2-hour boat tour of the Ballestas Islands, a smaller version of the Galapagos Islands. See sea lions, penguins, and plenty of birds up close and in their natural habitat. Enjoy free time from 12:00PM to 1:30PM for lunch. Ask your guide for recommendations! At 1:30 PM, move on from Paracas to Huacachina, a natural oasis located in the Ica Desert home to the biggest sand dunes in South America. There, have more free time to explore around the oasis. Next, prepare for 2 hours of exhilarating dune buggying and sandboarding. Dune buggy up the sand dunes and sandboard down these giant hills of sand, a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the only natural desert oasis in South America. The following day, go from Huacachina to Nazca in a shuttle. Arrive in Nazca around 11:00AM and go straight to the airport. Fly over the mysterious Nazca Lines, which have left thousands of people baffled for years. Have 2 hours of free time in Nazca, enough time to visit the Cantalloc Aqueducts. At 3:00PM, travel back to Huacachina and later that night, travel back to Lima. Sit back and relax on the comfortable seats. At the end of your journey, get dropped off directly to your hotel or hostel.

Know before you go

  • Passengers must present their original passports at the airport for the flight
  • Passengers over 95 kilogram must pay for an extra seat on the plane directly to the operator ($80 USD)
  • The bus will be back in Miraflores around 11:30 pm-midnight (will be later for Lima downtown)
  • The minimum age for the buggy and sandboarding tour is 7 years
  • Easter weekend and Independence Day Celebration in Peru: The pickup time will be 1 hour before the usual time.
  • Make sure to bring a wind/rainproof jacket (may get a little wet due to winds in the ocean), an extra T-shirt, sunscreen and sunglasses, a hat, comfortable clothes and shoes.
  • The tour runs with slight adjustments during the following holidays: Easter weekend (April 17-20) and Peru's Independence Day celebrations (July 25-28). The pick-up time will be 1 hour before the usual time

Our trip to the Ballestas Islands, Nazca Lines, and Huacachina was absolutely amazing! The tour was perfectly organized from start to finish. At the Ballestas Islands, we got to see an incredible variety of wildlife—sea lions lounging on the rocks, penguins waddling along the shores, and even dolphins swimming near our boat. It was like being in a wildlife documentary, and the guides made sure we didn’t miss anything. After the islands, we flew over the Nazca Lines, which was a surreal experience. Seeing these ancient geoglyphs from above was something I’ll never forget—it really gave us a sense of their mystery and scale. We ended the day with a visit to Huacachina, the oasis in the desert. The sand dunes were stunning, and we had so much fun sandboarding and taking in the incredible views of the sunset. This trip was not only well-organized but also packed with highlights from start to finish. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mix of adventure, nature, and culture!

a perfect 2-day trip thanks to our guide Jose and his colleagues! We particularly enjoyed the Huacachina oasis and the adrenaline-infused buggy rides there, as well as sandboarding where we really got a lof of free time to make the most of this unique experience. The next day Nazca lines flight was a fitting finale and everything was organised perfectly, the bus drivers were great and the bus was very comfortable and had charging stations.
