What people are saying about Liberia
The one day tour started out with ziplining, with a drop down to a Tarzan swing. The most difficult activity was the rock wall climb...thankfully a lot of assistance was available for this overweight middle-age adventurer. What sets this apart from my other zipline experiences is the beauty of the location as we crisscrossed the Rio Negro canyon. A 45 minute horseback ride took us to the river for a alternatingly thrilling and relaxing tube float down the river (there were some overturned tubes). It was beautiful! We ended the day painting ourselves with warm mud and after a cool shower to rinse off the mud, a little soak in natural hot springs. The guides were knowledgeable and very personable. Safety was a high priority and we always felt safe. My only complaint is that I don't think they explained the transitions from activity to activity well and we sometimes felt rushed; I didn't have time to put my swimsuit on under my shorts before the tubing.
We honestly had the BEST days of our lives. We started our day with about 6-7 zip lines, a few tarzan swings. We then repelled down a canyon wall and rock climbed back up. We then went white water rafting, had a wonderful buffet lunch. After lunch we road horses to a water fall and swam in the water fall. After that we painted each other with valcano mud and sat in a hot spring. This tour was amazing and AT GREAT PRICE. Most tours at this price only get one or two activities. We did everything possible in ONE DAY. I would suggest this is A MUST!!!!!!! If you like fun activity YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY. We are in our 40's on 17 year old, 14 year old, and 9 year old and EVERYONE felt this was best day ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was an amazing day! We started with horse back riding through their extensive property. The horses were easy going and knew the way so it didn't take much for the novice riders. Next we took a school bus to the next stop on their property. This was the white water tubing. What a beautiful and fun adventure. Just the right amount of rapids. We had a wonderful buffet lunch back at Hacienda Guachipelin followed by the zip lining. This felt slightly rushed, but was still a lot of fun. We purchased a DVD of our pics and video for $40 at the end. The last part of the day is the mud baths and hit springs. Since we stayed at the hotel we had already done this the next before. Make sure to bring your camera!!
We started on horseback with my 4 year old grand daughter riding with me, our second event was the tubing thrill, the guide placed my 4 year old in her own tube and rode with her the whole time. The zip line was great, a little frighting at times, especially the last zip where all 6 of us wound up on a platform approx 80 feet over the gorge . We then had to scale a wall to a lower level on the wall where we were hooked to a rope and shoved to another level across the gorge. I must say we were safely attached at all times to another guide line.
Our experience was good but we were stood up on the first confirmed date. We were all up at 4 :30 am to meet our bus at 5:30 but no show that day because the driver couldn’t find us. We chose date and enjoyed our day. The hot springs we went to were great but the showers/change rooms lacked cleanliness and most of the showers didn’t work. The fella at the front desk was less than friendly and not very accommodating.
