I only had 1 full day in Vienna and I wanted to see has much as I could. With the hop on and hop off bus routes I was able to see many different areas of the city. The free entrance into the museums and fast pass was so helpful. I was able to enjoy not just what I saw from the bus but from inside the museums ad attractions (ferris wheel, train, time travel, the the tower, etc). I am coming back to Vienna and I will def get this pass again. I made the mistake of not getting the 2 day because I had a package deal for the palace, dinner and a concert. If I would have realized all that could be seen at the palace with the Vienna pass, I would have booked 2 days. I am excited to come back and explore more of Vienna.
The Hop on Hop off buses were not disability friendly. My father and husband are both disabled. The driver would not wait for them to get off the bus and they had to get a taxi back from the following stop. This incurred an additional fee of 8 euros. Overall we did not feel the attitude of staff was particularly friendly. We often met with curtness, sharpness of tone and a rather dictatorial manner. Not being able to pick up book or tickets until the 1st day - did limit precious time. Hop on buses that go in a circular route create difficulties for passengers with mobility issues who may want to go the other way round to reach their destination more quickly
This was a great investment giving free and speedy access to a great range of options. Staff at Opernpassage and all bus terminals were so helpful and patient. Being able to avoid the long queues at the more popular attractions was a real bonus when you are trying to cram everything in on a two day pass !!. The guideboook was clear and route timetables helpfully laid out. Vienna Pass runs a very slick operation and was worth every penny of the cost.
We had a 3 day pass plus a travel pass. You definitely have to make sure you visit plenty places to get value. It removes the thought of "will we go here because it costs €15" you go and don't need to think about it. I would definitely recommend getting the travel pass as well - we covered a lot of miles that weren't on any bus routes.
Very helpful , easy to use , staff is nice , you can use it almost every where Some places u just skip the long line , the hop on hop off buses are just amazing and if you are interested in saving money and see all attractions just go get the vienna pass .. awsome !
