What people are saying about Leonardo da Vinci Museum
This was a great experience. It was lovely to see the sketches made reality and superb to be hands on and interactive. VR was a great idea but we were glad we went at a quiet time as only 1 was working. It has inspired us to learn more aboit Leonardo da Vinci. A small suggestion to make it even better; space the exhibits out more and the best for me was when the sketch to model was sequenced and then related to the modern day equivalent - this made it relavent to our 8yr old who has little context to relate Leonardo to. We went with a 14 yr old and an 8 yr old. Spent 1 1/2 hours there.
The museum is very clear that you will only see replicas of Da Vinci’s work, and it does that job brilliantly. Explaining clearly his artistic importance and engineering genius, there is also a brief history and numerous copies of pages of the codices which are fascinating. The museum would be fabulous for younger visitors. But after a while I pined to see an original creation. My problem - not the museums.
Excellent museum for young or old with many working, hands-on models of Leonardo DaVinci's inventions. Actually didn't need to 'skip the line ticket' as there was no line and almost nobody in this gem of a museum (last week of October).
