Explore Leipzig on this city tour onboard the iconic Trabi car. Meet your tour guide (German speaking) and learn all the secrets about driving a Trabi and everything you need to know for a safe and relaxed ride.

Then it is time to turn the ignition key, let the clutch go, and hear the typical roar of a Trabi car. Drive in a convoy and explore the city in a comfortable and effortless way. Listen to interesting information along the way via the radio and speakers in the vehicle.

You can stop off every now and again along the way to take photos or change drivers. Admire the beautiful sights of the city including the zoo, the exclusive residential district, Gohlis Palace, the city ring road, St. Thomas Church, the new city hall, Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse with the vibrant nightlife, the Monument to the Battle of the Nations, and the Gewandhaus.

We don't put strangers in a Trabi together. If you book for 2 people, for example, these 2 people sit together in a Trabi without any other guests. Up to 4 people can sit together in a Trabi and up to 4 Trabis form a convoy for our toour. And our tours are always self-drive tours - you take the wheel yourself (after a briefing, of course).

Know before you go

  • The tour lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours depending on traffic.
  • Due to closures, construction sites, major events (such as football matches) etc., it may be necessary for us to take the route for the tour less through the Leipzig city area and instead move to the south of Leipzig (Leipziger Neuseenland) so that we can ride together nicely and avoid traffic jams. Our priority is, f course, to show you as many beautiful places in Leipzig as possible.
  • Our tour guide speakes German. In case you're interested in a tour with an English-speaking guide, please get in touch for an individual tour.
  • This tour takes place rain or shine. There is only one thing that can stop us: heavy snowfall/black ice.
  • Our tours are self-drive tours (we do not provide drivers), because driving the Trabant is great fun.
