The plantation and our guide Steven were both very enjoyable, learned many new things. However, the transportation partner Alert Transport was disappointing: very late pick up - had to call twice to make sure we were not forgotten and then had to walk to a different pick up location; driver was fidgety and distracted and drove above the speed limits, I guess to make up lost time. The ongoing renovations at Laura will be fun to see if I get back in the future.

This tour was well worth the trip. Oak Alley is a beautiful home and the huge oak trees are spectacular. With touring the home, viewing the grounds and peripheral buildings, time for lunch was limited so plan accordingly. While Laura is the smaller of the two homes, it was perhaps the most interesting and enjoyable. Both tour guides were knowledgeable and interesting. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

The tour was very efficient from start to finish. it was a great experience however I just wish we had been given an extra hour to get around all the exhibits. We only had an hour and a half to get around everything and with a queue for the main house tour we ended up missing other exhibits.

The homes and grounds at both plantations were beautiful. The guides at both locations gave a true glimpse into a shameful part of our American history. The drive to the plantations was enjoyable and informative thanks to the knowledge of Nelson our driver.

Very nice tour, plenty of time to roam and eat at Oak Alley. Laura’s Plantation was very informative and interesting, the guide was very good and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
