Choose between a half or full-day canoe rental and explore Lake Mead at your own pace. Pack a picnic lunch and head out towards the Boulder Islands, or leisurely paddle around the largest man-made lake in the United States.
What to Expect
Easy to enter and exit, a canoe will carry just about anyone and anything. What they lack in speed, they make up for in stability. Canoes hold all the luxuries, have no confining spaces, and are the preferred choice for camping trips.
Cruise out to the Boulder Islands for a leisurely hike, look for seashells on the beaches, and take a dip in the largest man-made lake in the United States. The waters are crystal clear and you can often spot fish swimming in the water beneath your boat.
Pack a picnic and take a lunch break on the lovely Boulder Islands, then lay in the sun or swim in refreshing waters. Rentals include all equipment, including kayak or canoe, paddle, life vest, bilge pump, paddle float, and a dry bag for your gear. Delivery to Hemenway Harbor's PWC Beach is included for free with every rental.
Be sure to wear a bathing suit in summer months as the water temperatures are perfect for swimming. So rent a canoe, sit back, relax and enjoy the majestic scenery of Lake Mead.
